There is a small car parking area at the co-ordinates listed below and an information board. The viewpoint is a spectacular one with the valley below stretching forever. The walk to the view is through private woodland with a designated path so please do not stray.
Cadair Ifan Goch means Red Ifan's Seat. Ifan Goch was a giant who sat on the ledge to cool his feet in the river below. He also was alleged to stand with one foot on Cadair Ifan Goch and one foot on Pen-y-Gaer on the opposite side of the valley in order to wash his face in the river; though we could think of more comfortable positions.
The Conwy Valley stretches below with the mountains of Snowdonia magnificently towering in the distance.
