Bradley Observatory was dedicated in 1949, and is the on-campus Observatory of Agnes Scott College, a women’s college located in Decatur, GA (www.agnesscott.edu). Bradley Observatory is home to the Beck Telescope (a 30” reflecting telescope), the Delafield Planetarium (featuring a Zeiss ZKP-3 planetarium projector) and the Celestial Spheres observing plaza. The Observatory was completely renovated in 2000, and hosts a monthly open house. The building is also home to an atmospheric sensing LIDAR facility jointly operated by Agnes Scott College and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI).
