Carvings For a Cause takes the wood from fallen trees damaged in Buffalo's "surprise storm" of October 2006 and makes works of art. They are displayed throughout western New York and most are of local heroes and historical figures.
This one is of Frank Lloyd Wright, famed architect. Buffalo is home to more of his works than any other city except Chicago. Some examples are Heath House, Larkin Building, and Davidson House. This statue was made from a 100 yr old Silver Maple tree and is carving number 6 of the series.
