This benchmark was not easily found using the PID's documented history which follows with corrections.

The Benchmark is AT THE JUNCTION OF MISSION BOULEVARD AND ROSE (Arfon ) WAY SOUTH, 225 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE EAST SIDE OF A ROCK OVERPASS (Buena Vista Bridge), 35 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE BOULEVARD, 27 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF ROSE (Arfon) WAY, 0.8 FOOT NORTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF THE SIDEWALK, 0.8 FOOT WEST OF THE WEST EDGE OF THE SIDEWALK, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE SIDEWALK, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.1 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

According to a lifelong local resident, Rose Way never existed. The road is actually named Arfon Way, not Rose Way. In addition, Arfon Way is itself a misspelling of what, the local does not recall. That was related to him by his mother, as a child.

The Rock Overpass is actually Buena Vista Bridge, which was constructed in 1931 and is currently identified as a section of Mt. Rubidoux Drive. However, the local I spoke with says it used to be a section of the loop back for University Avenue and that it and the current Arfon Way made up the whole loop. I didn't think to ask, but I think the whole loop may have at one time been Arfon Way.

I found an original section of pathway leading up to Buena Vista Bridge, stamped "Matich Brothers March 10, 1931" and the bridge itself is stamped "Matich Brothers Feb.22,1931". I wonder if Arfon is a misspelling of the name of one of the brothers or someone close to them!? Who knows, maybe it's supposed to be the last name for a lady named Rose, thus coming to be known as Rose Way locally, instead! Hmmm...quite the mystery!
