This fort was once under attack by Indians who attempted to burn it down. There were fought off by 1 man, Solomon Woodworth, and all of the fires extinguished. Despite being wounded Solomon gathered a small group of men together a day or two later and tracked down and killed the Indians. The fort is no longer here and was torn down or destroyed in 1778 or 1780. Happy Waymarking, Swizzle & Family
