The Hot Air Ballooning event is part of our annual winter carnival. The Carnival is in its 46th year and ballooning has been apart of it for 12 years. The balloon event is held the first weekend of the carnival which begins on the first weekend of February. The number of particpants varies from year to year with eleven balloons registered this year. A balloon glow on the Friday evening kicks off the event. Various launch areas are used depending on the local winds. Several competions flights are held throught out the four days the balloons are in town including a pole grab on the final sunday.
