"Symmetricom manufactures synchronization and timing equipment used to control the flow of voice, video, and data traffic in telephone, wireless, and broadband networks. Symmetricom also makes network transmission and management systems, as well as equipment that boosts the range of DSL networks. The company serves other equipment makers, communications service providers, and other businesses; two of its top customers are AT&T (about 11% of sales) and Verizon (also 11%).
