On this location, a skeleton of a woman was found, most likely dating back tot the late 7th century.
Buried along with her were a string of beads, a small spinning spool and a large decorated bronze disk.
The statue has its feet planted firmly in the ground and looks up to the sky, symbolizing the connection between earth and heavens.
The statue was made in remembrance of this woman, whose name or history is not known.
A short distance away is a plaque with a made up story about the woman's granddaughter and suggesting that she may have been a witch.
