Marker Name: Lake Creek Falls Fish Ladder
Marker Text: Lake Creek, a major tributary of the Siuslaw River; provides habitat for salmon, steelhead and cutthroat trout. The large bedrock blocks that formed Triangle Lake upstream also created falls and slick rock slides that are natural barriers to migrating salmon and steelhead. With the construction of three fish passage facilities in 1989, about 100 miles of streams above Triangle Lake are now accessible to anadromous fish.
