This is a late 14th century font; it has alternate decorative markings of St Andrew’s Shields and St George’s Crosses. Originally the font was in Fitzford House in Tavistock moved to Walredden by Lady Howard, who later gave it to Whitchurch Church when she retired.
The font stands at the rear of the church.
