DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 (ITS) THE STATION IS THE BALL ATOP THE METAL TANK LOCATED IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF HILLSBORO. THE TANK IS ELEVATED BY A FOUR-LEGGED SKELETON FRAMEWORK AND IS APPROXIMATELY 110 FEET HIGH.
