This is the coat of arms of Elizabeth 1, probably came from a memorial to the Queen situated in the Chancel and demolished during the 1844-46 renovations.
The coat of arms can now be located in the porch of the church above the notice board.
Queen Elizabeth 1 reigned from 17 November 1558 to 24 March 1603.
