Description: Life-size, uniformed Confederate Army soldier stands atop a base. He holds a rifle barrel in his proper right hand, with the butt on the ground at his feet.
Provenance: Formerly located Intersection of Broad & Highmarket Streets, Georgetown, South Carolina
Remarks: Erected by the Women of Georgetown in honor of the 10th Regiment South Carolina Infantry. Sculpture was originally located at the intersection of Broad and Highmarket Streets. It was first moved to a street corner, then placed in the Baptist Cemetery when it became a traffic hazard. IAS files include the text and names listed on the base.
