Presbyterian Church

The Glasgow Presbyterian Church organized March 9, 1845, with ten members.  First church building stood on Second Street between Market and Howard, was burned in October 1864 during the Battle of Glasgow.  The congregation held services for some years in the Ladies Seminary building.  In 1855 the church was reorganized, and purchased the brick building on the present site from the Baptists.
