The station in New Milford is now known as the Clifford Chapin Plaza, because of the efforts of the former first selectman to rebuild the station that was once falling apart. The station once had several sidings, a water tower, an engine shop with a turntable to the north as well as a freight depot to the west. The passenger canopy once extended southward from the station towards Bridge Street, but today only the northward extension still stands.
Today, the New Milford Chamber of Commerce occupies the station along with a satellite station for the New Milford Police. The freight yard is used for parking for access to the downtown area of New Milford and the site where the engine shops & turntable were are used by the public works department.
