Glasgow City Hall
The first city hall was built on this site in 1860, four years later was destroyed by fire during the Battle of Glasgow. Within a few years after the war's end this building was erected. At one time the city jail was in the basement, the main floor was a market, and the council chamber was on the second floor.
The city hall was moved to a former bank building in 1967 and the building now serves as a senior center.
