This marker stands alone in Pepperell, Massachusetts. It stands about four feet tall and is made of stone. The stone is rough, except for the front, which is smooth and polished. Upon the polished front is the inscription for what this marker is for.

"Near this spot Jacob Ames was killed in 1744. He was the last white man murdered by the Indians in this vicinity."
