Anchor and bronze plaque memorial to the brave men and women of the United States Navy. The memorial is located in Canal Park which is Duluth, Minnesota's waterfront area. Located in the park is the Lake Superior Maritime Marine Museum, dedicated tugboat, aerial lift bridge, lighthouses, pier so the public can watch ships enter and leave the Port of Duluth, lots of benches, nautical memorials, vendors, boardwalk, sculptures and lots of seagulls.
The plaque is bronze and is headed by the isignias of the Department of the Navy, United States of America and Navy Operational Support Center, Duluth, MN

This memorial stands in tribute to their honorable service
that has changed the course of human events.
Serving in Duluth since 1898, their patriotism and sacrifice
have preserved the freedom of the high seas and made this port
what it is today. On every continent and ocean, Northwoods sailors have proudly promoted peace and security so the world would be a better place for our children.
