S.S. Okanagan Stern Saloon

Built in 1907 for the British Columbia CPR Lake & River Service, the S.S. Okanagan was one of three luxury passenger and cargo ships on Okanagan lake (S.S. Aberdeen 1893 & S.S. Sicamous 1914). These ships made up the transportation network linking the Okanagan and the Shuswap to Sicamous on the main transcontinental line. Decommissioned in 1934, the ship was dismantled and this Stern Saloon is one the last superstructure pieces of the historic sternwheeler. It is now home within the S.S. Sicamous Heritage Park on this site. The restoration will begin as private and corporate funds become available.
