The United States Air Force Academy Falcon sits proudly and prominently in front of the US Air Force Academy Stadium. The Stadium is appropriatly named "Falcon Stadium"

The Falcon has been the official mascot of the United States Air Force Academy since almost the founding of the academy. This particular statue is the recognized mascot since it is mounted in front of Falcon Stadium.
A plaque in front of the Falcon says the following:

This bronze bird has an approximate wing span of 10 feet and sits about 12 feet above the walkway. It is mounted on a 6 inch bronze post which itself is mounted into a grouping of boulders. You can see every feather on its body and a predetors gleam in its eyes.
