On a two stepped stone base, this octagonal well cover is at the bend in Church Street near the Sheepwash Bridge. It is built with timber supports and has a tiled roof. The 'well' consists of a circular walled structure and a central cylindrical stone replacing the 'well hole' A wooden cover forms a seating area.
It is one of six wells to be dressed in Ashford for Trinity Sunday, the Patronal Festival of the church. See web site:-
