This is the original font of Pershore Abbey, Lost for many years after the Reformation in 1540 the font was found in a field at Wick (a village 3 miles east) being used as a cattle trough in the 1920s. It was then restored and returned to the Abbey where it is still used for baptisms.
Approximate Age of Artefact: 750 years
