Marker Name: First Presbyterian Church - First organized denomination in Bend
Marker Text: Built with the help of stout hearted pioneers, who donated land, material, labor, and money. Completed at a cost of $7,000. Organized June 1903 by Reverend W.H. Hall. Reverend I.I. Gorby was in charge of the ceremony. Wallace Sellers honored for leadership in Building Drive. Property, stone, and big stained glass window furnished by The Bend Company. Stone work by Torkle Swanson. Carpenter work by K.D. McIntosh. Cornerstone laid September 22, 1912.
