The medieval font is set up beneath the tower arch through which is the access to the ringing chamber. It is at the top of a flight of five stone steps. It is octagonal, but very assymetric, upon an assymetric circular, two step base, and lead lined with a scalloped pattern around its rim. The base also has some incised decoration.
An information panel gives the date as 13th century and also some of its chequered history.
