The clock is in a roped off area of sorts, on a bricked, enlarged corner amidst lots of old and ornate Victorian homes. The clock is just as ornate. Chestnut Street is the Lincoln HIghway around these parts and runs another half mile before it ends and after some dirt and grass it is picked up again by Rt. 30, also part of the Lincoln Highway.
The clock was donated to the citizens of Columbia by Dr. Stephen S. & Mrs. Diane L. Perry. The clock has four rounded faces with Roman numerals and the name of the streets atop the faces in gold lettering. It has a decidedly far east feel to it. The clock stands about 15 feet in the air. It was built by Electric Time in Medfield, Massachusetts.
