A rather recently built historic site, the Delta Firehall No. 3 earned this plaque discussing who officiated on the opening day in 1969. The hall was closed in 2001 when the North Delta Public Safety Building opened just down 84th Avenue.

HISTORIC SITE

DELTA FIRE HALL NO. 3

Constructed in 1968, the Hall was
Officially opened on February 8, 1969
by Alderman Hugh Hunt,
Assistant to the Fire Chief, Walter Husband and
District Fire Chief, Phillip Sutton-Atkins also
officiated. Construction cost was $75,000.
The Hall operated with two paid firemen
and North Delta Volunteers.
