This is the longest Aerial Cabin Lift in the UK and is over a mile each way. The cable is endless and is over two miles long, weighing over 17 tons; it is supported by steel pylons. Built in 1969 and fully overhauled in 2006 it is a great way of getting to the summit of the Great Orme offering fantastic views. The seater cars can hold four people.
The entrances to the cable cars are located in the Happy Valley Gardens and on the summit of the Great Orme.
We enjoyed a peaceful ride gliding over the countryside and marvelling at the gorgeous views on a sunny day.
Inside the station in the Happy Valley is a dedication plaque which reads:
'1994
