On the west side of the San Pedro Park, in the middle area of the park, a skatepark has been built for skateboarers to use to hone their craft. There are round rails, multi-leveled platforms, and narrow benches to use for tricks and jumps. The small concrete rectanglular area is rimmed with benches and a short raised wall where spectators can sit and watch or skaters can rest between rides.
There are no ramps or curves. BMX bicycles are occasionally seen with riders trying to learn jumps and balancing, but the skatepark is designed more for skateboards, although there is no signs prohibiting the bikes to practice.
