This font is 13th century, octagonal, lead lined, and made of Purbeck Marble. It has two blank carved arches on each side, possibly once decorated as one of the arches on the west side appears to have remains of some red colouration. It is on a renewed marble stem and has eight colonettes spaced round it, on an octagonal two step base. The 19th century timber cover has ogee volutes supporting a finial.

The font is placed in a large clear area at the back of the church in front of the west tower arch.
