This bronze plaque is located off to the side of the main entrance to the municipal office which is located on the south side of Hwy. 7A in the center of the village of Bethany.
Two Roman columns frame the text of the plaque upon which are listed the names of 14 soldiers from the area who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Great War.
Text of the plaque reads in part as follows:
