Rydal Hall was in the hands of the Le Fleming family until 1960s. Hall is now owned and managed by Carlisle diocese as a Retreat and accommodation centre. The bunk house is just one offer of accommodation for groups.

Every type of accommodation is catered for. Stay in the Edwardian opulence of the Hall itself. Rent a cottage for a week. Book your group in to the bunk house. Or just pitch your tent in the designated places. There are also yurts in the grounds, run by Full Circle.
"The Youth Centre (Name of Hostel)
A completely self-contained Bunkhouse ideal for school or activity groups. Facilities include its own kitchen, bathroom/shower facilities, common room – with wood burning stove – and sleeping accommodation for 36 comprising of two dormitories (18 and 14) and two additional twin bunk rooms." from Rydal Hall itself.

The gardens are open for free each day, and were laid out by Landscape architect Thomas Mawson in 1911. Well worth a visit.
