White Deer is located north of I-40, east of Amarillo, on highway 60.
It is a very small rural community.

This deer is made of tin, and located at the entrance to the White Deer Library. It's a fun sculpture and the library is a great place for it. The body is a hollow tin pipe, about 7 inches in diameter and the head is a smaller version of the same shape. There are four thin small pipes as legs, and the antlers are a twisted group of wires.
