This font represents the Tree of Life , with a serpent coiled around it.
The Figures of Adam and Eve stand either side. On the bowl are three bas- reliefs, showing the ark of Noah, with the dove bearing the olive branch, The Batism of Our Lord, and the Baptism of the Treasurer of Candace By St Philip.

William Blake, William Pitt, Earl of Chatham and the Earl of Chesterfield were all baptised at this Font.
The church contains some fine 18th century tablets and wall monuments

Above the south gallery door is a memorial to Ludovic and Theophilius Oglethorpe, whose son James founded the state of Georgia.

As this is the parish church of the Royal Academy a number of artists are interred in the North Vestibule.
Approximate Age of Artefact: 1600s
