The Sawyer is 14-foot high golden giant wielding a crosscut saw. He
represents the proud and important history of logging in Haliburton
County. According to worldslargestthings.com, he’s the largest
lumberjack in North America!
The impressive monolith was hand crafted in a "top secret" process by
local artist Andy Hillo, as part of the county's Where It's Art program.
The Sawyer was deliberately designed and placed to provide an ideal
photo opportunity, so climb up, take your end of the saw and snap away!
