This mural was painted in September 2005 on the side of an insurance office building, at Third and South Main, next to the post office, in downtown Clay City, Illinois.
It depicts some of the towns history starting with renditions of American Indians and buffalos,
Pioneers settling the area,
Railroad comming to town,
Oil wells (when oil was plentiful there),
Early automobiles,
The downtown area,
A salute to the military,
The US Flag and the Statue of Liberty,
and a Teepee.
