On the road leading into Sihanoukville is a rather large and impressive statue of the Hindu god Harihara. This god is a combination of the Hindu gods Vishnu and Shiva, encompassing aspects of both. The precise details of which are a matter of some discussion amongst believers. Also known as Shankaranarayana ("Shankara" is Shiva, and "Narayana" is Vishnu).

Harihara was a popular god in pre-Buddhist Cambodia, and still has a sizeable presence in the country.
