A white stone cross with swords on front and rear set in a small round garden. This memorial is set in Barnsley Cemetery a short distance in from the main gates. Carved into the base of the cross are the words-

THIS CROSS OF SACRIFICE IS ONE IN DESIGN AND INTENTION WITH THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN SET UP IN FRANCE AND BELGIUM AND OTHER PLACES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WHERE OUR DEAD OF THE GREAT WAR ARE LAID TO REST.
