This mark is located about halfway between Bow St and Monument Square on the east side of Lowell Rd. This plaque reads:
"Here in the house of the Reverend Peter Bulkeley, first minister and one of the founders of this town, a bargain was made with the squaw Sachem and the Sagamore Tahattawan and other Indians who then sold their right in the the six miles square called Concord to the English planters and gave them peaceful possession of the land. A. D. 1636."
While presumably the house that is there is not the original house of Reverend Bulkeley, both the plaque and a quick perusal of the web do not indicate whether the deal took place in the house, as this claims, or under Jethro's Tree, as the Jethro's Tree marker claims.
