The three-story building at 900 N. Broadway is known as The Nicholas Hotel. The hotel was built c.1910 and is brick painted a light tan. It has a flat roof with concrete bands below the second and third floor windows. On the south side there are two entrances, with large stone blocks to each side of the doorway. Above the left entrance is a stone header etched with "St - Nicholas." Four round detail windows, two on each of the upper floors decorate this side.
Above the third floor windows is a row of brick dentils. Windows on the second and third floors are double hung sashes grouped singly and in pairs. The nomination form in 1999 indicated that the windows and doors were being replaced after a fire. This repair has been completed and there is no sign of a past fire.
The building is currently the home of Schlegel Bicycles, a large shop that has been in business since 1988, and at this location since May 2007.
