Located at the entrance to the San Diego Zoo's Elephant Odyssey area, this is one of two identical works on either side of the Horton's Way walkway.
The sculpture depicts a stylized Elephant head with "3900-4600 Years Ago". The sculpture is one of five in a dated sequence..and the art seems to depict elephants as more primitive and abstract as the dates go back in time.
