The summit of Mt. Wachusett is accessible year yound by various trails including the Midstate Trail that crosses the summit.
An auto road to the top can be accessed during the snow free months for a small fee.
Fall at the mountain can be enjoyed by taking a ski lift to the top, plus many events are held throughout the snow free months at the ski area.
The summit is a favorite among hawk and eagle watchers, and bicyclists training for upcoming races.
The summit is benchmarked by a triangle carved in stone with a compass rose just north of the benchmark.
