The Arrowbrook Nature Preserve Park is a wetlands preserve designed to slow and clean stormwater runnoff from the surrounding streets and community. Located at the corner of Sunrise Valley Dr. and Centreville Road in Herndon, VA, this preserve has a short 0.25 mile walking path around the wetlands area. On one section of raised walkway that extends out into the pond used to store water has a large wooden gazebo built into a wide area of the walkway. There are no benches built into the design but the whole trail is wheelchair accessible. This gazebo is wood framed with wood railing and a metal covering over the wood beamed roof. It is about 25 feet in diameter with the raised walkway passing through its centeral portion. The other six sides expand out over the pond, allowing a view into the water to look at the fish, frogs, turtles, insects, and waterfowl that are attracted to the wetlands area. The gazebo was built in 2010 for the spring/summer opening of this wetland preserve park.
