The marker on the building states: "This building orginally erected on Atlantic Boulevard in 1888 as Saint Paul's Episcopal Church. It was donated to the museum and moved by river barge to the museum grounds through a grant from the Rotary Club of Jacksonville. 1977"
San Marco Preservation Hall, a Jacksonville historic landmark, was built in 1888 as St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The Hall was moved to Fletcher Park on Atlantic Boulevard and renovated in 1994. The Hall is operated by the San Marco Preservation Society, a non-profit corporation organized for the preservation and enhancement of the historic San Marco neighborhood.
