Long Description:
The Bakersville Forestry Station is located on County Road 208 and is part of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service's Division of Forestry. They have a Smokey Bear sign at this ranger station and he was warning of a moderate fire danger when we visited. They also have a fire tower at this ranger station.

The Florida Division of Forestry is responsible for wildfire protection and suppression. In addition to managing State Forests for multiple public uses including timber, recreation and wildlife habitat, they also provide services to landowners throughout the state with technical information and grant programs. -- Source
