The Temperance Hall was built in 1852 when the Temperance Movement was at its height. Two cottages were purchased by the Society in 1852 and the hall was constructed.
The Hall is now a theatre known as 'The Little Theatre by the Park' It was purchased by the Chesham Council in 1958 with a restricted covenant being inserted that no intoxicating liquor could be sold there.
