This mural tells the story of who and what Flora, Illinois is.
The town was established in 1854. It was a farming community when first established.
The B&O Raolroad came to town, and it srarted to grow.
Downtown is pictured by the prominent buildings and industries that flourished in the 20th century.
Finally it shows how the oil industry had an influence on the town and the surrounding area.
Several people and high school classes were involved in the project.
