Das ist da Motto des Aquarium de La Réunion, das im Jahr 2000 eröffnet wurde und schon über 1 Million Besucher begrüßt hat.
Direkt am Jachthafen von Saint-Gilles les Bains, an der Westküste La Réunions, liegt das Aquarium. Ein kulturelles Zentrum, lehrreich, wissenschaftlich und für interessierte Touristen hervorragend aufbereitet bietet es Informationen zum Leben unter Wasser hier, in diesem Teil des Indischen Ozeans.

Menge des Meerwassers im Aquarium: 600 000 l
Inhalt des größten Tanks: 340 000 l
Anzahl der gezeigten Fische: 500
Anzahl der verschiedenen Arten: 200
Größe des Aquariums: 1500 qm
Frau Sophie Durville, Herr Dr. Patrick Durville und Herr Mulochau sind Wissenschaftler, die dieses Aquarium leiten. Etwa 10 Personen kümmern sich zudem um den Unterhalt und die Pflege der gesamten Anlage und natürlich auch der darin lebenden Tiere.
Regelmäßig werden Schulführungen sowie Rundgänge für Erwachsenengruppen gemacht. Rund 40 Studenten haben bisher ihr Praktikum hier absolviert.
Der Unterhaltungswert des Aquariums ist groß. Zusätzlich möchte man aber auch die Sensibilität der Bevölkerung für den maritimen Lebensraum wecken und findet diesbezüglich gut verständliche Informationen und Erklärungen.

Sophie Durville, Dr. Patrick and Mr. Durville Mulochau are scientists who lead this aquarium. About 10 people attend also to the maintenance and care of the entire system and of course the creatures living in it.
Regular school tours and tours for adult groups are made. About 40 students have so far completed their internship here.
The entertainment value of the aquarium is large. In addition we would like to raise the awareness of the population for the marine life and finds in this regard clear information and explanations.
