The old Bedford Town Pound dates back to 1809 and was in use till 1879. In November 2005 it was reconstructed with heavy equipment (source). The town pound is located 65 meters west of intersection Wallace Road and North Amherst Road in Bedford, New Hampshire. It is part of the Van Loan Preserve and managed by the Bedford Land Trust. There are two signs hanging from a wooden post with the following text:

Bedford Town Pound 1809 - 1879
This land generously donated to the Bedford Land Trust by Ann & Jack Middleton 2003. This stone Town Pound was restored in 2006 through the generosity of the Silberberg family, resident in Bedford for four generations.
