At first glance this barn quilt looks like bright red tulips facing each corner, but the design is a traditional star and cross pattern. The dark colors are almost overpowered by the bright yellow shed upon which it is mounted. This nice quilt block is located just southeast of Mapleton, a town which was very recently devastated by a tornado.
Your Visit: I spotted this nice quilt on my way to report a news story on the recent tornado in Mapleton. This farm appeared to be untouched.
Type of Barn: Barn still in use
