The memorial has an inscribed stone monument with three panels. Also as part the memorial a UH-1M helicopter is on display. The memorial honors all who served in Vietnam in particular alumnus of Wentworth Military Academy with special emphasis on Major Bill Adams a UH-1 pilot and graduate of Wentworth who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in Vietnam. The memorial is inscribed:

Flew a Huey (UH-1) helicopter similar to this one
with the A/227th Assault Helicopter Company,
in Kontun Province, Vietnam.
On May 25, 1971, he volunteered
to attempt a rescue of wounded.
Major Adams flew in, picked up survivors, an flew out
under heavy fire. His Huey was hit repeatedly,
and exploded in midair, killing all aboard.
For valor above and beyond the call of duty,
Major Adams was posthumously awarded the
Medal of Honor.
